(Frodo has just accused Gandalf (who has just arrived in a horse drawn wagon) of being late. He responds with "A wizard is never late. He arrives precisely when he means to." while looking sternly at Frodo.)

Strings pluck out Hobbit Outline Figure as Gandalf breaks into a laugh.

A whistle begins a peaceful, Pensive Setting of the Shire A melody as Frodo joins in the laughter. He  jumps on the wagon, they hug and begin traveling to Hobbiton. The Hobbit Outline Figure continues quietly underneath.

The Shire A melody drops out but the Hobbit Outline Figure continues for an 8 note phrase.

A fiddle plays the Rural Setting of the Shire/Hobbit Theme as The Mill comes into view and the wagon rolls over the bridge and through Town Center. The  Hobbit Two-Step Figure and Hobbit Skip Beat can be heard under the Rural Setting.

Strings play a lush Pensive Setting variant of the secondary Shire B melody as the wagon rolls through a narrow path in the hillside and we see the hills of Hobbit holes ahead. The Hobbit Skip Beat is continuing under the melody.

The fiddle returns with a finale phrase of the Rural Setting  of the Shire/Hobbit Theme as Frodo and Gandalf pass by the preparations for 'The Long Expected Party.'  The Hobbit Two-Step Figure plays along.

Strings play the lush, Pensive Setting variant of the secondary Shire B melody as children run after Gandalf crying for fireworks. They are disappointed when Gandalf rides by. The phrase ends with the Hobbit End Cap (or a variant of it).

More of the Rural Setting of the Shire/Hobbit Theme mixed with the Hobbit Two-Step Figure as Gandalf lets loose a small barrage of fireworks, to the children’s delight.

The happy, carefree music ends but the Hobbit Two-Step Figure and Skip Beat continue a moment Frodo stands up in the wagon. "Gandalf I'm glad you're back." "So am I, dear boy." Frodo jumps out of the wagon.

The whistle returns to the peaceful Pensive Setting of the Shire A melody and Gandalf continues on in the wagon to Bag End.
