(3:51) Frodo and Sam leave Hobbiton as Gandalf goes to Saruman for advice. Saruman, however, has gone treasonous.

Soft boys’ voices hum the Seduction Theme as Gandalf, Frodo and Sam walks through Hobbiton woods. He cautions them to be careful. HS COMMENT

The 'pulse' of sound is Frodo touching his pocket that holds the Ring when Gandalf asks, "Is it safe?"

A quick, urgent phrase plays as Gandalf rides quickly off.

Frodo and Sam are startled by the screech of a bird and the pounding of its wings as it takes off flying in the trees.

Frodo and Sam start walking as the The Journey There Theme plays. The drumming is similar to the version of A Hobbit's Understanding heard at the end of the FOTR.

Shire Theme plays as Frodo walks back to Sam and encourages him on.

The music moves into the Fellowship Theme. "You know what Bilbo used to say, ‘It’s a dangerous business, Frodo. Going out your door.’"

Cut to a wide shot of the quiet, peaceful countryside.

Brassy, loud Fellowship Theme plays as we cut to Gandalf riding madly on his horse to Isengard. The Mordor Skip-beat plays softly in the background.

The 'Threat of Mordor' motif plays as Gandalf dismounts his horse.

Brasses play, increasing in scale and volume. Jump ahead in action. Gandalf learns that the Black Riders are abroad and headed for the Shire. He turns to leave but one by one, the doors all close before him.
