The Mirror of Galadriel
After Frodo looks into the mirror,
Galadriel tells him:
"I perceive the Dark Lord
and know his mind, or all of his mind that concerns the Elves.
And he gropes ever to see me and my thought. But still the door
is closed!" And after he notices the Ring
on her finger she says: "This is Nenya, the Ring of
Adamant*, and I am its keeper."
*Adamant:
noun:
very hard native crystalline carbon valued as a gem adjective: not capable of being swayed or diverted from a course;
unsusceptible to persuasion
